Kirah Caminos is a dancer and teacher with over 15 years of experience working with young people in arts education, and community and counseling services. With a strong background in Latin dance, music, music theory, theater arts and performance, Kirah is proficient in piano, guitar, and hand percussion. She has a lifelong love and passion for Salsa, and has studied under some of the best instructors.

High Energy Latin Dance

Grades: K-12 - Pricing $110/Session

This residency fosters a sense of community, encouraging students to deepen their relationship with one another through a positive shared experience of Latin social dance and music. Kirah’s programming awakens the joy of partner dance, live percussion instruments and group singing activities. Students explore exciting Latin music genres such as Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Cumbia, Rock en Espanol, folkloric beats from the Americas, and more. Students learn basic group and partner choreography, focus on body balance and control, and gain a basic introduction to Spanish terms and vocabulary through song, dance and direction from the instructor.
